November 2015 – Finally, Romania Has a Chance For Better Health
MediHelp International, the leading private health insurance provider in Central Eastern Europe, welcomes the Romanian health system reform suggested by the members of the Cabinet led by Mr.Cioloș.
“The decision comes when our enthusiasm has become little bit dried up: MediHelp has relentlessly pushed for health system reform and we still believe it`s the only chance Romania has to fully become a modern, European state. We are especially glad to see the new Government supports the idea of a developed private medical insurance culture in Romania. Furthermore, the idea to allow the workforce to decide on their own private medical insurance yearly contribution is something we have pushed for for ages, so we`re happy to finally see a paradigm shift,” said Zahal Levy, president of MediHelp International.
The new Government has come forward with a proposal in its agenda to modernize the health system and to support the private medical insurance business. MediHelp International believes this could really be a step forward for the Romanian healthcare system and for the whole of society. “We all have to understand that this is a national necessity and a natural cultural progression. We will get there, I`m sure”, added Mr Levy.
